| The Distinguished Employee Award Program is designed to provide recognition by the Board of Education to staff members who demonstrate exceptional skills, showed an unusual degree of commitment or dedication, are respected and/or admired by members of the school community for a particular reason, played an unusually active role in school or community activities, or performed an exceptional deed that deserved special recognition. |
Lisa Olson , Coon Valley Elementary School Secretary, received this award which was presented to her at the March 13, 2006 Board of Education Meeting by Board President, Dennis Havlik. Mark Anderson, Westby Elementary School and Coon Valley Elementary School Principal, nominated Lisa and wrote this on her behalf:
I would like to recognize Lisa Olson, Coon Valley Elementary School Secretary, for her extraordinary efforts with the State of Wisconsin ISES data collection. Despite frequent problems and computer issues at the state level, her perseverance and tenacious “get the job done” attitude, allowed Westby Area School District’s information to be inputted and completed error-free! Her knowledge and abilities are an outstanding asset for our District. Please commend her for her fine efforts. |

Suzanne Wilkins, Grade 5/6 Resource Teacher and Middle School Student Council Advisor received this award which was presented to her at the October 9, 2006 Board of Education Meeting by Board President, Dennis Havlik. Clarice Nestingen, Middle School Principal, nominated Suzanne and wrote this on her behalf:
Mrs. Wilkins not only works hard at excelling in her job, but she is very willing to help with anything. She is the advisor of the middle school student council. This organization, under Mrs. Wilkins leadership, provides endless support for the teachers, staff and students – lucky lockers, birthday greetings, hall decorations, school store, teacher appreciation gifts, and school dances to name a few. She also works with the school yearbook and getting that put together with students each year. Thank you Mrs. Wilkins for all the wonderful things you do! |
