Classroom technology can serve to increase student engagement and interaction, enhance available teaching resources, and facilitate differentiation and inpidualized student instruction through intervention or enrichment activities. In addition, as our society becomes increasingly dependent upon technology for daily activities and commerce, it is necessary to provide students with digital literacy skills in addition to traditional literacy skills.

 

Typically, technology integration within the curriculum is a gradual process, beginning with small changes to traditional lessons, and progressing to student-centered, often project-based, collaborative learning.
