Platteville Soils Contest
Annually held in the spring at the UW-Platteville Pioneer Farm. The contest will be celebrating 50 years in 2018. River Ridge Soils Contest
Thursday June 22nd 2017 Where: Meet at River Ridge HS and travel to site When: 9 am registration.   Contest to starts at 10 am.  Scoring and results to follow a lunch that will be provided with registration fee. Reserve teams by June 20th Cost: $5 per individual or $20 per team. Awards: Medals top 5 Seniors (Experienced) and Top 5 Juniors (Inexperienced) Top 3 Teams in each division Meal: Burgers and Brats, sides, chips and drink. Shullsburg FFA Alumni Soils Contest
4th  Annual Shullsburg FFA Alumni Soils Contest
When: Thursday, July 6, 2017
Registration will be held at Shullsburg High School lobby.
Park in the high school parking lot behind the high school gym and the shop is at the bottom of the hill.
Registration will begin at 8:30 AM and we will proceed to the site at 9:00 AM.
Cost:
$20 per team
Individuals $5
To help plan for food, please email with the number of teams you plan to bring by June 30.

Individuals may judge or in teams of three to four individuals – no limit on number of teams per school.
Awards will be handed out to the top two senior and the top two junior teams, as well as the top 3 overall individual competitors.

Southwest Wisconsin Land Judging Contest Annually held in the fall. Any FFA chapter in the state can participate. Contact: Kevin Lange, Grant County CSZD The Grant County Conservation, Sanitation & Zoning Department will host the 2016 Southwest Wisconsin Land Judging contest on Thursday, October 13, 2016. We will be registering at the Crops Building at the Grant County Fair Grounds (first building north of the Youth & Ag Building), beginning at 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.  The contest should be completed by noon.  Participants may want to bring a sack lunch.
